Sunday 4th December saw 49 gymnasts from GFA and Floor and vault compete across 4 rounds in the novice south east regional floor and vault competition at Guildford spectrum.
The day got off to an early start at 8am with 3 gymnasts competing in round 1. For all three this was their first competition, however they did not let their nerves show producing some good floor routines and vaults.
Round 2 saw 14 gymnasts compete again for some this was their very first competition. Again, they tried to not let their nerves show but there were a few little wobbles on floor but also plenty of improvements from last year’s competition.
Round 3 12 gymnasts competing with all gymnasts showing solid routines and vaults throughout. This reflected in their scores with all 12 placing in the top 6 and gymnasts qualifying out of novice and into intermediate.
The last round of the day saw our largest group of 20 gymnasts compete again with some nerves but solid performances seeing gymnasts qualify out of novice.
All in all, a successful day but long for Pegasus with 44 out of the 49 gymnasts gaining a top 6 place finish.
Well done gymnasts and coaches for all the hard work put in.
