Classes
Our Classes
The members of the club are organised into groups according to their age, ability, experience and individual needs.
Children with disabilities are welcomed within our main stream classes. Coaches with experience and specialist awards in this field work within the club and are able to support or differentiate work as required.
All classes work within the stringent guidelines of British Gymnastics, the National Governing Body. Pegasus members are required to become a member of British Gymnastics at a level appropriate for their gymnastics programme.
Kindergym
The Clubs Kindergym programme offers a programme of gymnastic and movement activities for babies and children up to school age. Four distinct age bands ensure a planned progression from structured play through to skill acquisition with and without parents/guardians.
Gymnastics for all
These classes provide structured coaching for school age children with access to the full range of quality equipment enabling members to achieve a high degree of competence.
Competitive Squads
Pegasus consists of three squads; Men’s, Women’s and Floor and Vault. Pegasus gymnasts have competed at County, Regional, National and International Events representing the club and Great Britain.
Gymability
Our GYMability classes are available to all children with a social, physical or learning disability. We provide a fun and safe environment for each individual to reach their maximum potential. We offer a bespoke programme whereby children not only have the opportunity to enhance their gymnastics skill but also improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
Freestyle Gymnastics
Freestyle classes provide the opportunity to learn new “street tricks” in a safe and friendly environment. It fuses traditional gymnastic and acrobatic tricks, with kicks and leaps made famous through martial arts and brought to worldwide attention by festival performers and stunt actors.
Adult Gymnastics
Aimed at people over the age of 18, these classes are fun, social, enjoyable and taught at a pace that suits you. Whether you are an ex-gymnast, a parent that wants to “give it a go”, or want to be part of the next veterans competition anything is achievable.
