Pegasus took the floor and vault squad to Meapa gymnastics club’s invitational floor and vault competition on 21st/22nd October. This competition was open to all levels so it was lovely to be able to take the entire squad to one event where they could all support and cheer each other on. For some gymnasts, it was their first ever competition, for others it was the first time in a new competitive level, and for many of them they had not long upgraded skills within their routines. Pegasus performed fantastically! We achieved 10 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 3 bronze medals, another 13 top 6 finishes with only 2 gymnasts over the entire weekend narrowly missing out on the top 6 finishing in 7th and 8th place. This result is the most successful that the floor and vault squad have ever had. The entire floor and vault team, gymnasts and coaches, should be immensely proud with this result!

As well as the competition, Meapa were running a Halloween theme and asked gymnasts to design their competition numbers around the theme, the most impressive ones gaining a prize. Pegasus did also gain a few prizes here with some of the best number designs including a wearable witches hat, a ‘Beware, Keep out’ fence sign and numbers including fairy lights which we lit up for the judges.

Congratulations on an enjoyable and successful weekend!
