After an early start and a long journey, Lottie entered the arena at Fenton Manor Sports Complex for her first National Grade Finals.

Once the team had met, registered and warmed up, the action began with vault. The girls came together and started their competition well with some excellent vaulting, showing off some high scores. After a successful rotation on bars, tensions were high as we moved to the beam. After a couple of fantastic routines but an unfortunate couple of falls, the girls kept their chins high and moved to floor with the goal of finishing as strong as possible.

The floor routines ended up being absolutely fantastic with Lottie taking 5th place on floor in the country for Nation Grade 3.

The team unfortunately just missed out on a podium finish but the coaches couldn’t be prouder of the attitude and tenacity these young ladies showed. It was a pleasure working alongside the gymnasts and coaches who earned their places in this National finals and Lottie did herself extremely proud with an amazing 13th place overall in a field of 63 gymnasts.

A huge well done to the South East teams, coaches and gymnasts and of course a massive well done to Lottie!
