On the weekend of Saturday, September 21st, 2024, 8 members of our Women’s Artistic team competed in the Classic Challenge Cup, achieving outstanding results! The team of young athletes began the competition with nervous smiles and giggles but finished with well-deserved pride and confidence in their performances.
Day one featured our TIN category gymnasts. Emily captivated the judges with her elegance, grace, and flawless routines, earning 1st place for her stunning floor routine, 1st place in the all-around competition, and the title of Highest Scoring Gymnast in the TIN category. Emily’s performances not only showcased her technical skills but also her artistic expression. Congratulations, and well done Emily!
Alicia brought confidence and strength to the competition, starting with an impressive 5th place on the floor. Her clean and beautifully executed bar routine earned her 2nd place, showcasing a seamless flow and polished finishes. Alicia’s dedication shone through as she finished 4th overall. Her hard work and focus were evident in every routine, and her ability to perform under pressure is commendable. Well done, Alicia!
Martha overcame her nerves to showcase incredible artistry on the floor, securing 2nd place with a captivating routine. She carried this artistic flair to the beam, finishing 9th, where her poise and composure shone through. Her consistent performances across all events results in a commendable 9th place overall. Martha’s resilience truly stood out. Great job, Martha!
Tillie delivered high energy, power, and precision in her routines. Her floor performance delighted the judges, while her controlled and effortless beam routine placed her 2nd. Tillie’s clean bar routine secured 6th place, and her powerful vault earned her 7th. Her consistent performances led to a well-earned 5th place overall.

Isla impressed the judges with her exceptional routines, showcasing grace, elegance, and beauty throughout. She delivered a stunning beam performance, securing 1st place, and continued her artistry on the floor, earning 9th place. Isla also demonstrated power and precision on the vault, placing 9th in that event. Her strong, consistent performances resulted in an overall 12th-place finish. Well done, Isla!
Mali delivered an outstanding performance throughout her competition, achieving impressive results. She began with a strong and artistic beam routine, earning 3rd place. Bringing the same flair to bars, her consistent execution secured another 3rd place finish. On vault, Mali’s flawless performance earned her 2nd place. These consistent achievements led to an overall 3rd place finish. Well done, Mali!
Lexi brought fun, sass, and high energy to her routines during the competition. She started strong on the floor, captivating the judges with her dynamic and well-executed performance, which earned her 5th place. Lexi continued to impress with her vault, demonstrating power and precision, which earned her 3rd. Lexi finished her competition with a confident and controlled beam routine, placing 6th. Her high energy and skill across all apparatuses made for a strong and memorable competition. Well done, Lexi!
Noemi brought incredible power to her routines during the competition. Her strength and determination were evident throughout, setting the tone for her performances. She delivered impressive routines on bars, earning 8th place, and showcased her skills on beam, where she placed 9th. Her technical proficiency and competitive spirit shone through in each event. Noemi’s consistent efforts resulted in a commendable 8th place overall. Well done, Noemi!
Ella competed at Copper Level and looked beautiful. Starting on Floor Ella captivated the judges with her choreography and ability to perform, along with elegant leaps and jumps. A solid Vault and clean Bar routine set Ella up for Beam. An unfortunate fall from the Beam but a confident performance gained Ella a 5th place overall!
Having not competed for over 16months, Lottie entered the arena feeling nervous. Competing at Silver Level and starting on Vault Lottie was able to calm herself and enjoy the competition experience. A new bar routine with upgraded skills, a nailed beam routine and stunning floor routine lead to Lottie finishing in 5th place and securing a place in the Southeast team for the National Finals in November!
Ella, Indie, Lillian and Zofia competed as part of a team at Bronze level. After a rocky start on beam the girls picked themselves up and carried on. Ella started out nervous and shaky, but 2 upsetting falls from the beam wasn’t enough to deter her. Competing a 1 ½ twist backwards on Floor for the first time along with beautiful dance, a nailed vault and an upgraded Bar routine, including longswings, was just what Ella planned! Zofia completed a clean, confident, Beam routine, strong tumbles on Floor, a dynamic Vault and beautiful Bar routine with a Clear hip way above the horizontal! Indie, struggling with competition jitters, unfortunately fell from the beam but shook off all the nerves and moved to Floor to pull out a lovely routine. After a quick snack, a clean Vault and a great Bar routine including longswings! Teammate Lillian also had an unfortunate fall from the Beam, but danced her way through a great Floor routine, a super clean Vault and a tidy Bar routine including much improved lower bar work.
Each gymnast demonstrated exceptional skill and resilience, making the team and coaches proud.
