A critical year as we were faced with the loss of the school as a suitable training venue, failure to locate alternative premises, lottery funding not yet on line, desperation and the pavement looming, a phone call revealed a possible solution, a commercial loan. Planning battles ensued, budget balancing looked precarious but who dares wins and in November 1994 we walked into an unbelievably tatty warehouse. OURS, apart from the chunk owned by the Building society and the other bit secured against the second mortgage. We overhauled, we counted the half pennies, and just 51 days later held our first session.
