This commitment has proved fundamental to our success. A development plan was produced, aimed at providing a designated facility by 2000. The official launch took place in April at Invicta Grammar School with a day long “come and try it” interspersed with displays. The Mayor of Maidstone even did a “Beam walk” to support the scheme.
