The weekend kicked off for Pegasus with the Regional 3 girls Layla, Lillian and Evie stepping onto the floor. The girls performed some wonderful routines and were once again applauded by the judges for their particularly artistic floor routines. Nerves were high throughout the day and unfortunately a few missteps here and there kept the girls off the podium this time but the coaching team were still very proud of them. With all three placing in the top ten we think the girls should be very proud of themselves too! Evie ended up taking 5th place, Lillian 6th and Layla 9th. Well done girls.

Round 1 on Sunday brought the Regional 2 girls, Fran, Ella, Livvi and Lottie into the arena. All four girls stepped onto the floor confidently after their success at pre-grades and determined for some repeat performances. Overall the routines were performed beautifully and as before, the judges complimented the girls on their stunning floor routines. In the end Fran took 1st place in a confident fashion, two full marks ahead of 2nd place. Livvi narrowly missed out on the podium due to a few missteps on beam but still took a fantastic 4th place and Ella took a very respectable 7th with lots to look back on and be proud of! Lottie performed her routines with beauty and confidence throughout her competition making very few mistakes and in the end took 1st place very confidently, almost 3 full marks ahead of 2nd! A huge well done girls.

The final round for Pegasus saw the youngest members of the squad step into the arena, Mitzie, Maiya and Ella.
The girls were a mixed bag of emotions as their competition began, some showing the nerves and the pressure of needing to repeat their performances from pre-grades, some seeming very relaxed and pressure free! The routines the girls performed made us all very proud especially considering it was their first real grades competition. When it was all said and done Ella took the 4th place spot and Mitzie the 5th, both girls absolutely ecstatic with their placings! After a few unfortunate mistakes Maiya took 8th place overall but was still able to look back at some very proud moments! Well done girls.

The coaching team at Pegasus are so proud of the whole team for coming together so incredibly well and wanted to say a huge thank you once again to the parents, gymnasts and coaches who came to support over the weekend. After a small period of rest and recovery the girls will begin preparations for their next major competition at Regional Championships in September!
