Members of the boy’s squad competed at the Regional Qualifiers competition on Sunday 23rd September.
Parker Tagney, Taio Strevett, Gethin Carlile and Eliyah McGuniness competed in the Elite Level 1 Grade. They performed well with a few mistakes but looked stylish and confident with scores that stood out. Taio scored a perfect 10.00 on vault with a fantastic straight front somersault. Gethin and Taio have secured a place within the South East Regional Elite Level 1 Team and Eliyah a place in the Club Level 1 team to represent the South East at National Finals. Ethan Murphy also competed in the Elite Level 1 Grade but as a guest. With another year before he is eligible to compete he showed great understanding of what is to come this time next year and great routines. Ethan finished in 2nd place 5 marks ahead of 3rd!
Dexter Pedder and Chase Baker competed in the Elite Level 2 Grade. Dexter competed with a wealth of confidence and won the title with an outstanding score of 65.950 out of a possible 70 marks and 6.15 marks in front of 2nd place! Chase also competed some clean routines and matching scores to finish in 3rd! Both Chase and Dexter have also secured spaces in the South East Regional team and will be competing at the National finals in November.
Ricco Regini-Moran competed at Elite Level 3 and won silver with a strong vault and some clean, confident routines. Ricco has also secured a place to the National Finals within the Level 3 Elite Regional Team.
Anton Adewale will also be competing at the National finals after some great routines at the Elite Level 6 Grade.
