11 of our Men’s team competed at the Regional Championships with huge success. Ranging from gymnasts that haven’t competed to accomplished competitors during the day and quite a few personal bests were set!

The day started with our Under 9’s and Under 10 boys. This was their first ever competition and they had a great day. All nerves were kept tightly away and the boys tried their hardest, achieving routines and skills in a competition environment. Jenson performed a great flighted vault with a clean landing to take the apparatus bronze and Rocco demonstrated skill and elegance on floor to win floor gold. Jasper circled his way to 11place, Whittaker swung his way to 10th place and Ezra looked elegant finishing in 9th.

In the under 12 category, Ben, Brodie and Leo competed some new skills and demonstrated confidence in the arena.  Brodie excelled on Rings and competed a nailed double back dismount to take the gold Rings apparatus medal along with a 3rd place on P.Bars and confident routines to finish in 5th place overall. Ben finished in 4th place all-around and took gold on Vault with a beautifully flighted Pike Tsuk and gold on Pommel with great rhythm throughout his routine. Teammate Leo took the Regional Title for the Under 12’s and the gold for the All-around event along with a further 5 apparatus medals, nailed landings and clean artistry on floor to take gold, silver on pommel, bronze on rings and silver medals on both P.Bar and H.Bar. All three boys also secured spots in the South-East Team that will compete at the Under 12 British Teams. Some great achievements on the medal front but also multiple Personal Bests.

Dexter Pedder competed in the Under 16 age group taking the Silver All-Around along with a further 5 apparatus medals. A stunning P.Bar routine secured gold, a cleanly executed floor routine also took gold along with a beautiful high bar routine to secure yet another gold. Silver on Rings and Bronze on Pommel along with some personal bests.

Oakley Banks competed in the Under 18 age group and took the Silver All-Around, demonstrating some huge skills and difficulty. Oakley took gold on vault with 2 beautifully executed vaults and gold on Rings, along with silver on Floor demonstrating multiple somersaults and twists and silver on P.Bars, Bronze on H.Bar and Pommel.

Sam Ghinn competed in the Senior event. Sam had a great competition claiming the Regional Title and gold medal All-Around. Gold on Floor, Rings and P.Bars with class, swung to a personal success on H.Bar including multiple releases connected together and an upgraded routine to finish in 2nd along with 2nd place finishes on Pommel and Vault.

All in all the Regional Championships for our Pegasus boys was ecstatic! It was great to see the team pull together, support each other and succeed together in ways that don’t only receive medals. Congratulations to the boys and the coaches involved.
