7 boys competed at the South-East Regional Championships in 4 different categories on Sunday 1st May winning 3 Regional titles and 34 medals between them!
Leo, Ben and Brodie competed extremely well in the Under 10 age group. All 3 boys held their nerves, made huge improvements from their previous competition and performed some incredibly stylish routines! Ben circled along the pommel with confidence and style to take a gold apparatus medal along with 4 more bronze medals on Rings, Vault, P.Bar and H.Bar and a 2nd place overall! Brodie performed a very stylish floor routine with few deductions to take silver along with silver on P.bars and 4th place all around. Leo finished the competition in 1st place overall and medalled on all 6 apparatus tallying up 5 gold and 2 silver medals, performing 6 clean routines. Leo, Brodie and Ben took a clean sweep of the podium for P.Bars taking the top 3 spots!
Oli and Alfie competed in the Under 12 age group, again taking top spots and multiple medals. Oli finished in 1st place overall and secured a further 4 gold medals for Pommel, Rings, P.Bar and H.Bar demonstrating some classy routines and great lines. Alfie demonstrated strong routines on all apparatus in particular on floor where he took a silver medal for secure landings and elegance along with silver on pommel, bronze on Vault, P.Bar and H.Bar.
Ethan competed in the Under 12 age group with great success. He demonstrated a powerful, dynamic vault that flew through the air to take gold on vault along with a further 2 gold medals for Floor and Pommel, 2 silvers on P.Bar and H.Bar and a bronze for Rings. Ethan also won the all-around title for the Under 12 age group.
Last but not least Eddie competed in the Under 14 age group finishing in 9th place overall. Eddie performed a great floor routine that twisted and somersaulted into 1st place along with a silver medal on H.Bar.
