9 boys competed at the London Open, 12th and 13th May in Redbridge.

Dexter started the weekend off with a great start in the Under 16 age group. Some upgraded routines and clean performances saw him finish in 5th All-around and bronze medals on Floor and Rings.

Ethan and Eliyah competed in the following round in the Under 14 age group. Ethan competed well with strong routines to finish in 19th place and Eliyah demonstrated style to finish in 26th place.

Ben, Brodie and Leo competed in the under 12 age group. For these gymnasts it was their first time competing at the London Open. Ben demonstrated some great confident routines and finished in 16th place overall and secured silver on Rings! Leo competed a beautiful P.Bar routine but sadly made some uncharacteristic mistakes finishing in 26th place and Brodie showed strength and determination to finish in 30th place.

Oakley competed in the under 18 age group with huge success. New skills, new routines and improved performance lead to Oakley being crowned the Under 18 champion along with 1st P.Bar, 3rd Vault and 3rd H.Bar.

James and Sam competed in the Senior age group. It was James’s first competition back after the Worlds last year and he didn’t disappoint. 5 super clean routines and real pleasure to watch, gold on rings and pommel. Teammate Sam followed in his footsteps with some great routines and finished in 5th place overall along with securing his first ever Senior medal, 2nd on Pommel!

Congratulations to all the boys that competed and the coaches involved.
