Summer Holiday Activities
ALL holiday sessions MUST be booked in advance by email or telephone.
Gymnastics Sessions
These sessions are suitable for beginners and more experienced recreational gymnasts who may have attended previous Foundation Camps.
Mondays 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd August 10.00am - 12.30pm
Wednesdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th August 10.00am - 12.30pm
Price per session Members £6.50 Non members £7.00
Family Activity Sessions
Specifically designed for children under 5 years but older children of Primaryschool age also welcome. rebound, small and large apparatus.
Tuesdays 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th August - 10.00am – 11.00am
Price per session Members £3.25 Non members £3.75
Foundation Camp
Thursday 26th & Friday 27th August 10.00 – 3.00pm
The camp is aimed for the 6+ recreational age groups, advanced class and Floor & Vault Squad Novice and Intermediate Levels only. Please book your space with £10 deposit.
Price per camp Members £30 Non members £35
News update August 2010
Pegasus Open Competition - Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th June
A huge thank you to all who helped to make this event such a success. There were record numbers of participants, audience members and helpers. The Friends continuously try to improve how we support and help with this event so please give your feedback on the evaluation forms which will be sent out after the summer break.
Awards presentation event
We have decided to delay the Awards evening and Auction of Promises originally planned for Sun 11th July. This is due to the enormous amount of time that went into organising the Open. Also most of the boys had a week away training with both Ionut and Ovi at Lilleshall after qualifying at previous competitions.
We do not yet have a new date for the awards event but think it will be at the end of September.
All donations of promises that we have already received will be carefully looked after. Don’t forget we’re still looking for donations or offers of services so please let us know if you can help.
A ticket to the awards evening for a family of four will be £20, individual adult tickets £7 and £4 for an additional child – tickets include music and nibbles. Photographs and a bar will also be available.
The Awards evening will be combined with an Auction of Promises to help raise further funds for the club to benefit all our gymnasts. We already have promises for all sorts of things: would you like a family tree, a round of golf at The Tudor Park, an Indian meal cooked at your home, a taxi for the evening, a Steve Davies snooker cue or maybe an afternoon of gardening service, and lots lots more?
For the children there will be a mini auction of autographs and other gym related memorabilia (start saving now), a chance to get dressed up and spend some time socially with their friends.
2nd hand kit and refreshments
Thanks to all who supported the June second-hand kit and refreshments sale.
We will be running more second-hand kit and refreshments sales on:
Sat 16th Oct - 9am till 3pm
Mon 18th Oct & Thu 21st Oct – 4 till 7pm
Any cake donations for these events would be very gratefully received. Please also bring in any second-hand kit you would like to sell clearly marked with your name and selling price. The Friends of Pegasus earn 20% from each sale.
Join us at a Friends meeting
We hold regular meetings and the next meeting is Wednesday 8th Sep at 6pm. If you’ve got suggestions but are unable to come to the next Friends meeting to share and discuss them then please e-mail them to us via Karen McMorrow at kevin.mcmorrow@btinternet.com
Photo shoot
Helen Cooper of Acer Photo Art (and Mum of one of our gymnasts) has kindly agreed to come in to the gym so you can book a slot to have your gymnast photographed on the equipment. The date will be confirmed soon – keep an eye on the notice board. The majority of action shots on the site are Helen's work so you can be assured they will be great photos!
