2007 Annual Display
Sunday 25th March

In many ways it was a record year: the highest number of participants; the largest audience; the highest number of guests in attendance; the greatest number of volunteers not to mention a new high in the number of members recognised in the awards. All adding up to an amazing total of almost 1000 people at the event!
The lively and entertaining performance based on the ever changing patterns and colour of the Kaleidoscope was much enjoyed by audience and participants alike. Costumes and apparatus augmented by superb lighting and sound effects enhanced the quality gymnastics producing a polished performance of the highest quality.
Among those presenting the presenting awards was Alan Somerville, the Chief Executive Officer of British Gymnastics. Recognition by one of the most respected governing bodies in the country is not earned easily. In presenting Chairman, Peter Griffin with the club’s third annual GymMark certificate Alan was quick to praise the “professionalism and care at Pegasus” which, he said, is “one of what British Gymnastics regards as model clubs”, adding that what he had seen “gave him confidence in the future of gymnastics in Britain!”
His Worship the Mayor of Maidstone, was as always delightful. Enthusiastic and full of praise for the behaviour, smart appearance and skilled performance of all your children, he appreciates the efforts made by all the staff, volunteers, parents and gymnasts in adding to the opportunities and quality of life within the Borough.
