Welfare

The club has adopted and works closely within the policies and guidelines of British Gymnastics. Despite our good communication & our caring approach there may be times when parents and / or gymnasts, volunteers and staff have concerns regarding the club. It is to provide knowledgeable, experienced support that the club has recruited and trained an effective welfare team.

Tracey Mills - Welfare Officer

Parent of three, the youngest of whom is a gymnast, Tracey also has experience in pupil support at Primary and Secondary schools. She is supportive, open minded with a capacity for indentifying appropriate solutions to the trickiest situations. Tracey's role as Welfare Officer has included club based work, overseas training camps and event management.

Full contact details are in the club handbook or send her an email.

Helen Cooper - Head Welfare Officer

Almost a "Jill of all trades" Helen plays an active role in many facets of the club.

Her elder son, now 17, joined a pre-school class as a two year old and daughter at

15 is a member of the Floor and Vault squad.

As welfare officer she accompanied a group to a week long training camp in

Belgium where she took thousands of photographs improving her considerable

talent for capturing the best of a gymnast's performance.

Her understanding of the sport not only enables her to take outstanding pictures

but also gives her an insight into the difficulties faced by gymnasts and parents.

Full details are in the club handbook or to send her an email.

The photographs taken at events are displayed on an easy to navigate web site

which is well protected by separate passwords for each section.

Andrea Wroe

With experience in staff management within the retail industry Andrea brings a different dimension to the team which supports and assists staff and volunteers in addition to club members. Her daughter is a member of the Women's Artistic squad so she is well aware of the demands on family time and finance. Her organisational ability and command of English are valuable assets within such a busy and dynamic club.

Full details are in the club handbook or send her an email.
